Ulta’s Love Your Skin Set

I was doing some shopping at Ulta recently when I saw they had some Love Your Skin sets for $30 each. (The supposed value is between $71-$75). You get 9 products in a set, but they are all sample/travel sizes. Still, that evens out to just over $3 per product, so I thought it was a great deal. You also get a $5 off coupon that you can use if you spend $25 or more on any of the brands featured in the box. I couldn’t decide which set I wanted to get, so I ended up getting them both.

I’m a bit obsessed with skincare and trying new products. Even though I’ve already found some great products that work for me (I know they say if it’s not broke, don’t fix it), but I’m still always on the hunt for new products. I can’t help it. Trying out new brands and products, even when I already have ones I love, has actually allowed me to find some of my most loved products. Plus, I actually get a little bored of using the same things over and over again. Switching things up every once in a while helps keep my skincare routine interesting so that taking care of my skin doesn’t feel like a chore. (Thankfully my skin is mostly okay with this, but I know that using products your skin isn’t used to can cause irritation or breakouts for some people).

Fast Food Thoughts & What I Order

I saw this on another blog quite a while ago, and I thought it sounded like a fun post to do. I rarely ever eat at fast food places anymore, but I do like to go to them sometimes. Here are some of the places I go to occasionally and what my favorite things to order are.

McDonald’s
I usually always order a Big Mac with fries or the 20 piece Chicken McNuggets (with Buffalo and BBQ sauce). Nothing else can replicate the taste of delicious McNuggets. Unfortunately, they started making my stomach queasy when I would eat them, so I usually opt for the Big Mac now instead because that doesn’t really bother me. I still like to indulge in the McNuggets sometimes though.

Ulta Haul: Skincare & Must-Haves

I did a little shopping at Ulta again. (It’s my favorite makeup store!) I was almost out of sheet masks and some of my must-haves that I use almost everyday, so I had to buy some more. Of course I couldn’t resist buying a few new products that I’ve never used before either. I just love trying out new products! Speaking of which, there are some goodies that I purchased but won’t be including in this post. I want to do a separate post (or two) on those, so I’ll be posting about those within a week or two.

True Crime: Most Disturbing Cases

This post is quite different from the usual types of posts I do here on my blog. Anyone who really knows me, however, knows that I’m a bit of a true crime addict. I have some true crime books, and I spend a lot of my spare time watching TV specials about true crime. There are some cases I hear about that always stick in the back of my mind long after. These are some of those cases. These cases are quite upsetting, so read at your own risk.

Mermaid Kisses Bath Bomb

I recently tried out the Mermaid Kisses bath bomb from Leebrick Candle Co. I just love supporting small businesses, and this one truly deserves praise. The last bath bomb I tried of theirs was the Mrs. Clause Cookies bomb, and it was amazing. You can see my post about it here. This bomb was just as wonderful. As I mentioned last time, these bath bombs are completely on par with Lush, and they’re slightly cheaper, which is even better. The scent of this one is hard to describe, but it’s heavenly. I guess I would say that it smells a little similar to candy. Like SweetTarts, perhaps. It turned my bath water a beautiful shade of blue, and it made for a really relaxing bath.

January Blogger Questionnaire: Winter & New Beginnings

522

I was reading a blog award post when I came up with this idea. I know that not all bloggers like to participate in awards because they don’t want to clog up their blog or it doesn’t fit in with their niche. Whatever the reason, I totally understand. I’ve done a few awards posts here on my blog, but I’ve also been nominated for many I haven’t done, just because it didn’t fit in with my posting schedule at the time.

Still, one of the great things about those awards is the questions that bloggers answer, which allows you to get to know them a little better. Now that a new year is upon us, I thought I might try something new here on my blog. Once a month, I would like to do one of these blogger questionnaire’s.

Basically, it will be where I post a set of questions, and you bloggers can answer them right here in the comments, if you wish. No need to post anything on your blog, and this can be a way for me to get to know my fellow bloggers even more, and it can also allow you the opportunity to get to know others. Blogging wouldn’t be as rewarding if it wasn’t for the community that comes along with it.

Universe

Happy New Year! It’s currently 1:30 am here in Maryland. This is the first New Years Eve that I spent at home in a long time. Sadly, I was not invited to any festivities. I tried to make the best of the night anyway. I ended up working on an oil pastel drawing that I finished just after midnight.

Speaking of drawings, I want to thank Rossy again for featuring my last drawing, Poison, in one of her blog posts. I am highly critical of my art and don’t think I’m very good. However, all you can really do is practice, and if you’re enjoying yourself then that’s what matters. One of my goals in 2018 is to create more art.
