I stumbled upon this tag from Rooting Branches, and since I grew up watching Buffy and it’s one of my all-time favorite shows, I figured I would participate. Anyone else is welcome to participate as well. The slayer graphic is also from her blog.
HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS:
1.Who is your favourite Scooby?
2.Non-Scooby character?
3. What’s your favourite overall season? Why?
4. Which are your top 5 episodes?
5. Favourite season final?
6. Overall least favourite character?
7. Who is your favourite villain?
8. Favourite Buffyverse couple?
9. Which character do you think had the most development over the course of the show?
10. If you could change one thing about the series, what would it be?
11. Did you watch the spin-off Angel? Your thoughts?
12. If another character had a spin-off – whether now or whilst the show was running – who would you of chosen?
13. How and when did you discover the world of Sunnydale?
14. Best quote from the show?
15. Lastly, what is your favourite hidden message in BTVS?
My responses are below.
1.Who is your favourite Scooby?
Buffy. Especially during the high school years. I really like Cordelia and Anya also.
2.Non-Scooby character?
Drusilla. I found her to be such an interesting character.
3. What’s your favourite overall season? Why?
Season 2. I feel like it has the best storyline(s) out of all the seasons. I especially love the Buffy/Angel arc.
4. Which are your top 5 episodes?
Oh my, it’s so hard to choose just five because there are so many great ones. I guess I would go with Hush, Welcome to the Hellmouth, School Hard, Halloween, and Band Cady.
5. Favourite season final?
Graduation Day Part 2
6. Overall least favourite character?
Riley. I also really disliked Forrest, but he’s not in as many episodes.
7. Who is your favourite villain?
Angelus. Of course I love evil Spike and Drusilla too.
8. Favourite Buffyverse couple?
Buffy and Angel! They were actually my first favorite ship.
9. Which character do you think had the most development over the course of the show?
I would have to say Willow. She goes through many transformations throughout the series. From being the shy nerdy school girl, to becoming more confident, discovering her sexuality, becoming addicted to magic, and then learning to channel her magic for the greater good instead of misusing it.
10. If you could change one thing about the series, what would it be?
Spike and Buffy would have never been a thing, and Buffy and Angel would end up together. Also, maybe no Riley… Or at least cut him out sooner.
11. Did you watch the spin-off Angel? Your thoughts?
I did, but I just never got into it the same way I did Buffy. I really like the first season of Angel, but after that it just didn’t interest me as much.
12. If another character had a spin-off – whether now or whilst the show was running – who would you of chosen?
I know most people would say Faith, since she was also a slayer. However, I actually never liked Faith. If Cordelia’s storyline on Angel never happened, I think it would be awesome if she ended up being a potential turned slayer and then had her own spinoff.
13. How and when did you discover the world of Sunnydale?
March 10, 1997. The same day the show first premiered. I was 8 years old at the time, and I was instantly hooked. I was interested in horror and vampires from a very young age, and I happened to see an ad for Buffy the Vampire Slayer in a TV Guide. I knew I had to watch, and so I did.
14. Best quote from the show?
“The hardest thing in this world is to live in it.”
15. Lastly, what is your favourite hidden message in BTVS?
I like the metaphor in season 2 of the person you love “changing” and not being the same person you fell in love with.
Nice post! Thank you for sharing!

Also, Evil Angelous was an amazing story arc. I could talk about Buffy for hours.

Yay! I’m so happy to read your answers. Band Candy was a really great episode. And Cordelia a slayer? Oh, imagine the sass! I still find it difficult to imagine Sarah Michelle Gellar as Cordelia and Charisma Carpenter as Buffy (as they originally auditioned as). Too much weirdness!

Same, but I loved Cordelia helping to save the day in Homecoming. Also, when she stakes that vamp in Graduation Day Part 2. She looks so good doing it. ๐

Ahh, I remember Buffy The Vampire Slayer! I used to watch it when it came on TV and I remember really liking it but I never watched it enough to be able answer these questions! It was fun reading your answers though! ๐ and I really love the quote you chose as your fave.

Aw man I thought this post was going to be about Scooby Doo because I read the word “scooby” in the first question hahah. Unfortunately, I have never seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer before. These names are so unique sounding!

Nice post. Season 2โs my favourite also. A really strong season all the way through. Passion will always be one of my favourites, when Giles rushes up the stairs to find Jenny dead in his bed. *sorry, something in my eye. With La Boheme playing in the background. Beautifully done, with a Top performance by Tony Head.

That episode is so intense, but I love it! I love Angel’s monologue too.

I am a massive Buffy fan (although I do have to admit I’m a Buffy/Spike type of gal). Having said that, season 2 is definitely my favourite too. I love the balance of overall story and the individual monster of the week episodes in that season. It’s great!!!
