I received my first VoxBox! I’m really excited about it because for some reason I never thought I would be considered for one. Receiving a box of products completely free seemed almost too good to be true for me.
If you don’t know what a VoxBox is, it’s a box of products that is mailed to you for free in exchange for you sharing on social media as well as filling out a mandatory survey that is sent to you a little while after you get a box. It is a part of the Influenster site and app. You may or may not receive a box each month. They are sent out based on your preferences and snap survey’s that you have to fill out to be considered. If they think you fit the demographic for their current box, they will send you a pre-qualification survey via email asking if you’re open to trying and reviewing certain types of products. Then they notify you again if you’ve been chosen to receive a box.
I’m so happy I was picked to receive this box! I hope I am picked for more as well, but here are some of my thoughts on this one.
I love Welch’s Fruit Snacks, so I was excited to try these fruit rolls. With them being fruit roll ups, I feel like they’re more geared towards kids, but I love anything fruity, so I’ll take it. They were a little on the sticky side, but they’re definitely yummy. I haven’t tried the berry one yet, but I tried the other two and enjoyed them. The strawberry was my favorite.
I already have some fake eyelashes in this brand. The eyelashes themselves are fine, but I admit I have a terrible time trying to apply them. Last time I tried, I got them uneven and my eyes looked super funny. I’ll have to give it another go though, as it probably takes some practice.
I couldn’t believe the size of this cleanser bottle when I opened the box! I expected everything to be sample sized, but this is a big bottle. Although I already have four other cleanser’s at the moment, I had to give this one a go and see how I liked it. Although it’s not my favorite cleanser ever, I do like it. It has a slight smell, which I find quite pleasant. It foams up a little but not a lot, and it does an okay job of removing makeup. It’s for all skin types too, which is great.
I haven’t used the tooth paste yet, but I’m almost out of my current tube, so this will come in handy. I’ve always liked Crest toothpaste and prefer it to other brands, so I’m sure I will like this one as well.
I was not impressed with this nail polish, to be honest. Despite it having a slight colored tint to it, it actually goes on clear. It would work okay for a glossy top coat, but that’s about it. There’s also some octopus looking glitter flakes in it, but there isn’t a lot. I just finished painting my nails with it, and none of the glitters even made it onto my nails. It also says it glows in the dark, but I went into a pitch black room and noticed a very minimal glow. It was hardly noticeable. Also, when it dries it has a rough texture instead of smooth.
I will admit, I am not much of a hot tea drinker at all. I grew up on iced tea, lemon iced tea, and sweet tea. I was asked in my pre-qualification survey if I would be interested in trying out tea. I said yes, which is the truth. I thought it would be fun to try out some different kinds to see how they taste and to see if maybe they would grow on me. Since it’s currently 2 am here, I figured I would try out the Balance tea. It has chamomile in it, which I figured would be relaxing for this time of night. I do think it’s one of the better tasting tea’s I’ve tried, but I’m still having some trouble getting used to. I’m definitely going to try each and every one though, as I’m curious about how they all taste.
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
