I can’t believe it has already been six months since I created this blog! Time sure does fly. I was an active blogger from 2005-2011 until I decided to give it up, and I stayed gone for a solid six years. There were times I contemplated getting back into blogging, and it was something that I thought about quite a bit before creating this one. I was worried I wouldn’t have anything worth writing about though. It was a little different back then. Blogging was more like a journal open to the public. A lot of bloggers, myself included, would blog about every little thing that was happening in our lives. Of course, when you’re a teenager and then transition into your 20’s, there’s a lot more drama and craziness. At least that’s how it was for me. Now that I’m in my late 20’s, my life is pretty much a borefest. I go to work, come home, eat, play with my cat, watch TV shows or movies, go to sleep, repeat.
Although I do like to include some personal touches here and there, I’ve discovered that there is a whole variety of topics you can post about other than just your life. There are still some personal bloggers around, and I really enjoy reading their blogs. However, many blogs these days seem to be beauty, lifestyle, fashion, food, or travel related. I don’t consider myself to really have a niche. I just post different kinds of things that I might be interested in at the moment. So far I’ve published 80 posts. This one will be 81.
Whatever I’m doing seems to be working relatively well because I actually have somewhat of an audience. I never thought when I created this blog that it would get the kind of reception it’s getting now. I thought I might have a few readers and that’s it. I never imagined that after six months I would have almost 500 followers, over 3,000 visitors, and 9,000 page views. I just want to thank each and every one of you who takes time out of your day to read any of my posts. I also want to personally thank Hunida and Erin for being my top commenters so far. (Hunida has commented 46 times, and Erin has commented 30 times). Thanks for your continued support. It means a lot to me.
Here’s to the next 6 months!
