It’s now after midnight here, so I guess it’s officially Christmas here where I live. I just wanted to make a quick post to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I hope your day is well. Hopefully you all get everything you wished for.
The night before Christmas Eve, my mom and I made cookies. Okay, that’s a bit of a stretch. They were just the pre-made Tollhouse cookies that you stick in the oven, and my mom made them. I did put the sprinkles on, but aside from that I was busy watching a show on the ID channel and eating mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers.
On Christmas Eve, I went to my dad’s and celebrated with his side of the family. We had shrimp to eat, just like we usually do every year. It doesn’t feel like a Christmas Eve in Maryland without some steamed shrimp with lots of Old Bay seasoning. It was delicious too! I had been looking forward to that all week. My mom dropped me off so I could have some alcoholic beverages. I had a fun time. I’m just now starting to sober up.
On the drive home, my mom stopped in Williamsport Park so we could look at the lights. We were driving while I was taking the photos so they’re kind of blurry and not the best. I thought it was cool that there was a light dedicated to the C&O Canal because that’s one of my favorite places. I blogged about it previously.
I can never look you in the face until I finally try Old Bay LOL. Also the cookies look great. They donβt have to be homemade. I had some weird ice cream today. This company makes odd flavors. I had buttered mashed potatoes and gravy ice cream. I also had caramelized grapefruit and eggnog. Both so weird. I figured I had to share as well.

Thanks, Erin! I hope yours is good too. I’m just having a lazy day with lots of food. That’s definitely lovely to me. I like being able to just stay home on holiday’s and not have to go anywhere.

I enjoyed the C &O region of Maryland, a great deal, on visits to Williamsport, Hancock and Cumberland. Hope your Christmas was blessed, and full of decorated cookies!

Love the light display! And I heard that Old bay is really big in Maryland. I’ll have to try it with my food sometime!
