Becca Bright Eyes VoxBox

I received my third VoxBox from Influenster, and this time it’s the Becca Bright Eyes VoxBox. I have to admit, I had never heard of this brand before. I’m always excited to try new products and brands though. I thought I was just going to be receiving one product, but I ended up getting all three products from the Bright Eyes collection.

The Becca Bright Eyes collection is made for use on the under eye area to get rid of puffiness and brighten skin. The set includes Anti-Fatigue Under Eye Primer, Under Eye Brightening Corrector, and Under Eye Brightening Setting Powder.

I’ve got to be honest. When I saw that I had been selected for this box, I didn’t think I was that suited for it. Don’t get me wrong, I love the opportunity to try products for free, and I hope I am selected for more in the future. I will always properly test out the products and give my thoughts and opinions to the best of my ability. However, I really do not have under eye puffiness, and my dark circles are not that dark. Most of the time I don’t even wear concealer under my eyes. I do use under eye gel patches though, which help prevent dark circles in the first place. I did try out these products though, and took some photos along the way. (I took the photos very soon after waking up, so please disregard my puffy eyelids. As I mentioned, my under eye area does not get puffy, but my eyelids do).

Anti-Fatigue Under Eye Primer
Retail price: $32

First up is the under eye primer. This primer is infused with cucumber, matcha green tea, and caffeine. Aside from providing a good surface for concealer application, it also works to smooth and blur fine lines and help the eyes look more awake. It goes on sheer, and absorbs super quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy residue behind. You almost don’t even know it’s there. I have to say, this primer really does work decently. I know it’s for the under eye area, but I used it on my lids as well to see how it would work as an eyeshadow primer, and it worked quite well.

Under Eye Brightening Corrector
Retail price: $32

After I applied the primer, I then applied this brightening corrector. The shade they sent me was Medium to Dark, which is obviously the completely wrong shade for this pale princess. The Light to Medium would have been better. I put this on anyway though. This cream is supposed to brighten under eye darkness, smooth fine lines, create a lifting effect, and prep skin for concealer. So basically, it’s like a tinted version of the under eye primer. I personally didn’t care for this product, but it could be because they did not send me the right shade. It just did nothing for me, so I would not purchase this one in the future.

Under Eye Brightening Setting Powder
Retail price: $25

After applying the brightening corrector and looking ridiculous, I then applied concealer over top. I used the Hey Honey trick and treat concealer, which is one of my favorites. That concealer is the real MVP here, as it worked its magic and did basically all the work. Once my concealer was on, I brushed some of this setting powder on. Honestly, this powder works well for the whole face as well, not just the under eyes. It goes on translucent, and left my makeup looking smooth and not cakey. I definitely think this is a decent setting powder, though I probably wouldn’t pay that price for it.

This is my eyes after I applied the setting powder and then followed up with BB cream, finishing powder, and eye makeup.

Overall opinion: The primer is my favorite product of the three, but I honestly would not personally purchase any of these products in the future. They just aren’t for me, and I find the prices to be a little high as well.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

  1. That’s a little frustrating that they didn’t send you the right color to test! But I did like how the finishing powder looked. I need a good setting powder for when we go to shows, so let me know if you find one (or have one) you love!
Thanks for giving an honest opinion, that really helps!

    1. Thanks for reading. πŸ™‚ The setting powder worked well for the whole face, even though it’s targeted for the under eye area. I looked on Becca’s website, and I see they offer another setting powder (though it’s more money than this one) called Soft Light Blurring Powder. I would love to try that one.

  2. I can’t believe they sent you medium-dark shade! That’s so weird…how can you properly test something that isn’t for you?! I got the Proactiv box & I rarely ever get acne so I’m gonna have a hard time reviewing my box, too. πŸ˜›
P.S. I love your eye makeup in the last photo!

    1. That’s what I thought too. I’ve used some proactiv products and liked them. I get whiteheads mostly and hate them. Thanks. I just did that eye makeup in like 2 minutes. I had to go to work so I didn’t spend much time on it.

      1. I’ve never used a Proactiv product before so that’s the exciting part. I get a little bit of white heads & black heads around my nose area, too. 😦 I like the shimmery eye shadow a lot… what is it? πŸ™‚
