I came up with the idea to occasionally do these photo roundups. It likely won’t be an every week thing as sometimes I only take a couple photos, or no photos at all. Other times, I might take a multitude of photos.
This roundup will consist of photos I’ve taken between last weekend and this weekend. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you might have already seen a few of these. Some of these I am posting online for the first time.
Last weekend I decided to use the Lavender Sage bath bomb that I got from Leebrick.
There was a little bit of blue inside, which turned the bath tub this pretty swirl of blue and green at first.
The end result was this beautiful shade of lavender, like the name suggests. It also had a wonderful lavender aroma. It was so relaxing that I didn’t even want to leave the bathtub.
If you saw my Sick Day Essentials post, you will know that I was sick this past week. I stayed home from work on Monday because my head hurt, I had little energy, and I had a horrible sore throat. I drank green tea with honey and lemon every single day, and I really believe it helped me get better. Normally I’m sick for at least seven days (whenever I have the cold/flu), but I only had symptoms for five days this time. Even the ever-lingering cough only lasted for a couple days, and that’s usually the one symptom that takes forever to go away.
We got a mixture of snow and ice earlier in the week. The ice was so pretty on the trees! I’m disappointed I wasn’t able to get any shots of that because I was rushing to get to work (and it’s dark when I get off), but I did get this shot that I really like.
Friday night after I left work, I stopped at Brother’s (one of my favorite local food places) and got a turkey club sandwich. They put a ton of bacon on this time though, so I had to pick some off. Some people would probably like it that way, but I only like a little bacon on mine. It was delicious though, as always.
After I ate, I did my Friday night ritual and took a hot bath. I do mean hot too. I had to inch my way in slowly because it burned, but I like my baths like that. I usually alternate between using bath bombs and bubble bath because it would get too expensive using a bath bomb every week.
On Saturday I initially wanted to go out to eat, but I was feeling lazy. Instead, I ate this frozen meal that I had in the freezer. It was Healthy Choice Cuban-Inspired Pork Bowl. I thought it looked really yummy, so I snapped a photo. Unfortunately, it didn’t taste nearly as good as it looked. I thought it was really bland and needed more sauce on it.
I was playing around with makeup a little bit, and I liked this shimmery look I created. The lighting in my house is crap though. I used a few different eyeshadows on my lips to create this metallic-looking lip color.
Out of boredom, I decided to make my hair wavy, do some makeup looks, and take some photos. (I also did a Valentine’s makeup look this night, which I’ll be posting for Valentine’s Day in a few days. If you happened to see my instagram stories, you’ve already caught a glimpse). I did a few retro disposable film inspired photos like the bottom one (the rest I posted on my twitter), which was a lot of fun. It reminds me of the 80’s and 90’s. I used flash in a semi-dark room and then edited in an app to add some grain. I think those glowing eyes in the bottom right corner might be kitty Cameron. I’m pretty sure he was laying there.
Today (Sunday) my mom made this chicken alfredo with garlic and pesto. It was delicious. I absolutely love pasta, so this pretty much made my day.
