I received my fourth VoxBox, complimentary of Influenster, a week and a half ago. If you’re new here and don’t know what Influenster is yet, it’s a site/app that gives you the opportunity to receive and try products for free in exchange for reviewing, sharing on social media, and completing a survey afterwards.
I have to admit, I had not heard of Grande Cosmetics prior to this, but I was definitely intrigued once I got the email that I would be receiving this box. I had never used eyelash serum or primer before, but I was definitely excited to try them. Especially since I don’t have very long lashes.
The packaging is decent, and as you can see they come in pretty good sized tubes as well. I’m also digging the gold. If you’re interested in trying these products, you can snag them on the Grande Cosmetics website. The Lash-MD serum is $65 (and says it should last you 3 months), the mascara is $25, and the primer is also $25.
I’ve been using the lash serum every day since I first got it (so 11 days so far), but I have not noticed any changes in the length of my lashes. I know it says it can take months for full results, so I’ll just have to wait and see.
This is a photo of my eye before putting on any type of makeup, so you can see what I’m starting with. I’m totally jealous of girls who have naturally long lashes.
After applying my other eye makeup first, I then put on the primer. This stuff works amazingly well when it comes to increasing the length of your eyelashes. Honestly, the photo doesn’t even do it justice. I’ve never used any other product that has made my lashes this long before. With that said, this primer does go on white, as you can see, and I’m not exactly fond of that. The texture and the way it dries on your lashes is exactly like mascara, so it’s basically like you’re putting on white mascara beforehand. I really wish this product was translucent instead.
This is the final result after applying the mascara. As I mentioned above, I don’t like that the primer is white because you can still see some of the white after I apply the mascara. Also, putting the mascara on after the primer feels like applying mascara over top of another mascara, which bothers me for some reason. I did use the mascara one day without putting the primer on first, and I was unimpressed. It doesn’t do much to lengthen or volumize your lashes on its own. It’s also a little bit clumpy.
Overall, I’m very pleased with how this lengthens my lashes, but there are still some things I dislike about the formula. I like the products, but they aren’t something I would completely rave about.
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
