I put up some wall art in my house over the weekend, so I wanted to share with you guys. I ordered all the wall art from Retro Planet. This is not a sponsored post, but I wanted to let you know where I got these goodies in case any of you ever want to get anything similar. They have some really cool retro style stuff!
I don’t have the money to create my dream diner kitchen that I’ve always wanted, but I still wanted to go with a retro diner/cafe style decor for it. I am absolutely in love with this Eat decal! It looks like it’s painted on the wall, and I just feel like it gives the kitchen a nice vibe. Plus, I love to eat. The table is bare because I need to figure out how I want to decorate it to give it a diner vibe. I might add a retro style table cloth or something. I will also eventually be changing the valance/curtains.
I’m also in love with this Coffee Shop tin sign! I don’t really drink coffee, though I do like frappuccino’s and cappuccino’s. I just felt like it fit with my ideal theme pretty well, and I love the colors. I’m trying to use red’s and blue’s together.
I also got this wall decal, which I ended up using to cover up an ugly old phone jack that was on the wall. I love that it has a scratch effect on it to make it look old.
On the wall just outside the kitchen, I put this blue crab decal. I was quite surprised when I found this on the site, and I knew I just had to have it. It’s so me! Blue crabs are my all time favorite food. I’ve been eating them since I was old enough to eat. Unlike a lot of people (who seem to complain about it), I love picking them apart too. Part of the enjoyment is just sitting there for hours, picking crabs and eating them. Plus, this decal is just super pretty. I love it so much!
I also got one last decal that I put on the fridge down in the basement. As I mentioned previously, I want to turn part of my basement into a lounge/movie room. It’s still very much a work in progress, but it’s already feeling more cozy than it was. Of course I still need to get a rug and furniture and everything. I’m still a little unsure of exactly how I want to decorate the basement, so I’m just going with the flow. I have been thinking about giving the basement a retro vibe as well though. I knew I had to have this Cold Drinks decal for my fridge, and I’m glad I got it. It really helps add something extra to the space.
And here are two random pictures of Cameron making himself at home on the sink and my couch. 😛
