Room Upgrade

I had ordered a tapestry and some new bedding for my bedroom, and on Valentine’s Day they came in the mail!

I’ve been wanting a tapestry for my bare wall ever since I moved into my house nine months ago, but I finally got around to getting one. I wanted one that was mostly black since I like to change up my bedding, and black will pretty much go with anything.

I found this one that had the phases of the moon on it, and I thought that would be perfect. I’m such a night person and I love the moon, so I thought it really suited me. The moons are actually gray colored, but since I had my pink light turned on for the photo, it makes the moons look like they have a pink tint.

I would like to maybe change my curtains eventually too. I’ve had these ones forever. I’ll keep them for now though. I decided to keep the same sheets on my bed because I like the mint color, so I just bought black shams to go with my new duvet cover and tapestry. I generally hate duvet covers and would rather just have a comforter instead. I hate having to stuff my down comforter inside of a cover, and then sometimes it gets bunched up inside and what not.

Still, I could not resist this duvet cover when I saw it. Not only is it my favorite color, but it’s so soft and fluffy! It’s just like the yellow throw blanket that I have in my basement, so I knew it would be comfy. It’s super warm too! I wish I had this at the beginning of Winter. I’m kind of disappointed I will only get maybe two more months (if I’m lucky) out of it until it gets cold again. I won’t be able to keep it on my bed once it gets warm outside because the upstairs always gets very warm, even with the A/C on.

Cameron loves it too! He just loves soft blankets. Guess what this little shit did though? I came home from work last night and discovered that he puked on it. I was so mad! Especially since I’ve had it less than a week. The thought even crossed my mind before I bought it. However, in the almost nine years I’ve had Cameron, he has never once gotten sick on my bed. Then as soon as I buy new bedding, and furry bedding at that, it finally happens. Thankfully, I was able to get it clean and you can’t even tell he ever puked on it. Hopefully he doesn’t do it again. I know he can’t help it when he has to get sick, but at least do it on the floor, please.

  3. Your new bedding looks so comfy! I definitely could do with getting some new bedding. I only buy it when I move house so it’s been a couple of years now!

    I love the tapestry too! I can’t wait until I own a house and can actually put things on the wall. I miss being able to hang pictures.

  6. I love that moon tapestry. That’s something I would get lol. I like how your bedding looks. I didn’t like duvet covers either but when my cousin gave me and I used it I loved it, so great for winter lol.

  9. Ohh! I love how you received everything on Valentine’s Day so it was like a little gift. 🙂 I love the moons & that pink fuzzy blanket looks amazing. Hopefully it’ll stay cold longer so you can keep using it lol. I’m glad you were able to get the puke out!
