Ulta’s Love Your Skin Set

I was doing some shopping at Ulta recently when I saw they had some Love Your Skin sets for $30 each. (The supposed value is between $71-$75). You get 9 products in a set, but they are all sample/travel sizes. Still, that evens out to just over $3 per product, so I thought it was a great deal. You also get a $5 off coupon that you can use if you spend $25 or more on any of the brands featured in the box. I couldn’t decide which set I wanted to get, so I ended up getting them both.

I’m a bit obsessed with skincare and trying new products. Even though I’ve already found some great products that work for me (I know they say if it’s not broke, don’t fix it), but I’m still always on the hunt for new products. I can’t help it. Trying out new brands and products, even when I already have ones I love, has actually allowed me to find some of my most loved products. Plus, I actually get a little bored of using the same things over and over again. Switching things up every once in a while helps keep my skincare routine interesting so that taking care of my skin doesn’t feel like a chore. (Thankfully my skin is mostly okay with this, but I know that using products your skin isn’t used to can cause irritation or breakouts for some people).

Ulta Haul: Skincare & Must-Haves

I did a little shopping at Ulta again. (It’s my favorite makeup store!) I was almost out of sheet masks and some of my must-haves that I use almost everyday, so I had to buy some more. Of course I couldn’t resist buying a few new products that I’ve never used before either. I just love trying out new products! Speaking of which, there are some goodies that I purchased but won’t be including in this post. I want to do a separate post (or two) on those, so I’ll be posting about those within a week or two.

December Glam Bag

I finally received my December glam bag from Ipsy. I didn’t think it was ever going to get here. I know Ipsy says that the December bags can be a little late because of the holiday’s, but it was over a week late, so I was worried it wasn’t coming.

When I opened the bag after it arrived, I discovered that it was missing an item. This was the second time that happened since I first signed up over a year ago. I contacted them, and they are shipping me the missing item.

The bag:
I think this is one of the prettiest ipsy bags I’ve gotten so far. I absolutely love the metallic silver with the aqua blue mixed in. It’s gorgeous and perfect for Winter.

Elvive by L’Oréal Paris VoxBox

499

I received my second VoxBox from Influenster this past week. This time I got the Elvive Revive box from L’Oréal Paris. This box only came with one product unlike the last box I received. It’s a free full sized product though, so I certainly can’t complain. Especially since I love hair products. It still amazes me that I’m able to receive products to try for free in exchange for my opinions on them.

With this Elvive VoxBox, you could actually receive one of three different hair products from L’Oréal’s Elvive line. This line of products is aimed at repairing hair damage. You could either get the Damage-Erasing Balm, Extraordinary Oil Treatment, or the Color Vibrancy Repair and Protect Balm. You didn’t get to pick which one you wanted. Influenster does that themselves based on your responses to their survey that you have to respond to before you can be in the running.

November Glam Bag

The bag:
Ipsy was offering two different bags this month. Both had the same design, but one was a brown and gold color, the other blue. I wanted the brown and gold because it had a sort of vintage look about it that reminded me of the 70’s. Of course they sent me the blue one instead, which I had a feeling they would.

Naked Cosmetics: Loose Powder (in shade Mother Nature #06)
I’m truly in love with the color of this powder. It’s a brown and blue duochrome shade. The brown goes on more translucent and the blue is shimmery. The big problem I have with this is that it’s a loose powder. I probably won’t use this as much as I would like because of how messy it is. When I apply it, I always end up getting it all over my face, even when I’m being careful. I would like this a lot more if it wasn’t for that.

BH Cosmetics: Bashful Browns Lip Set

392

This is a follow up to my recent BH Cosmetics Haul post. As I stated, I wanted to go a little more in depth about the Bashful Browns lip set that I got. If browns aren’t your thing, they also have sets of pinks, reds, and purples. The sets are only $14.99, which amounts to about $3 per lip cream. That’s a great deal.

The set comes with five lip colors in a variety of formula’s from matte to glossy. Here is what is included:

  • Color Lock lipstick in shade Devotion
  • Metallic liquid lipstick in shade Amber
  • Liquid lipstick in shade Serena
  • Liquid lipstick in shade Clara
  • Luxe Lacquer gloss in shade Colombian Coffee

BH Cosmetics Haul

I’ve bought several products from BH Cosmetics over the last few months, and I really like what I’ve tried so far. I was initially on the hunt for some new makeup brushes and I thought I would check to see what they had to offer. I ended up buying quite a few other things. I got their Galaxy Chic palette over the summer, which I love, so I knew I had to have the Solar Flare palette as soon as I saw it. It’s gorgeous! They also have a cool Supernova palette, but I opted not to get that one for now. For only $3 more, I could get the Rose Quartz brush set with the Solar Flare palette, so that’s what I decided to do. I haven’t tried them yet, but they feel soft.
