This is probably going to be an interesting post because of the term “childhood”. Movies that come to mind for a lot of people are probably Disney movies, Mary-Kate and Ashley movies, etc. I did watch some Disney movies growing up, but I never really got into them. I loved Mary-Kate and Ashley growing up, but their movies were still never on my all-time favorites list. I had a bit of an interesting childhood, I guess. From the time I was around three years old (the earliest I can remember), I was obsessed with horror movies. My parents never filtered what I watched, so I was able to watch whatever I wanted, even if it wasn’t age appropriate. A few of my favorites actually were age appropriate though, so you’ll see some of those on this list as well.
I want to give a quick shoutout to Hunida for giving me the inspiration for this post. I just love posts like this which give you some insight into a persons life and interests, and they’re just really fun to do. You can see her favorite childhood movies post here.
Without further ado, here are my top ten favorites from my childhood in order of their release dates.
I just finished taking a hot bath, which is one of my favorite things to do, and it’s the inspiration behind this post. It always makes me feel mentally and physically great at the same time, so I figured I would list some reasons why you should take a hot bath.
Sure it can be enjoyable to take a bath in general, but a hot bath is even more euphoric. Especially when it burns when you first get in. For the same reason many people enjoy spicy food, your brain releases endorphins, which is an enjoyable effect. I also really enjoy the feeling I get after I get out of the water as my body temperature gradually returns to normal.
I was born in the late 80’s, but I’m a straight up 90’s kid. My earliest memories are when I was 3 years old (which I turned in late 1991), so I have plenty of memories from this truly awesome decade. If I had to pick one decade that is my absolutely favorite, it is most definitely the 90’s. Here is a list of some of my favorite things about the 90’s.
It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times. 2000-2005 is probably one of the most prominent periods in my life. It’s funny because as an adult, 5 years seems like nothing. It literally goes by in the blink of an eye. However, this particular half-decade seems like it waged on forever. I definitely think a lot of things that happened helped shape my life and the person I am today.
▪ I spent tons of time at the skating rink. I always took my own rollerblades along because I preferred them to traditional skates.
▪ I also loved to ride my bike around the neighborhood a lot.
▪ I was in middle school during most of this time, in which I would get my first set of failing grades.
Today I am presenting you with some awesome Halloween finds from Etsy. You can find so many awesome items on Etsy. Plus, they’re sold by ordinary people like you and me, or people trying to grow a business, as opposed to big-time companies, which is awesome. I always like supporting the little people. I am dying to have everything on this list!
Graveyard Party Bath Bomb Set
This set comes with a coffin bath bomb and 3 mini skull bath bombs. These are aromatherapy bath bombs for relaxation and are scented with lavender, chamomile, and peppermint.
Whether you use them for school, work, blogging, or some other reason, planners and journals can always serve some sort of purpose. Some people use them to stay organized, some use them to set goals, and others just use them for a creative or emotional outlet. Either way, these are some awesome finds I came across that I think could make any person happy.
Unicorn Magic Planner
This zippered planner is wallet sized, so you can easily carry it in your purse with you. It comes with 12 dividers, monthly and weekly calendars, and goal sheets.
I’m going to take it back to what I did in my first FFOF, and list some of my current favorite songs. I plan to do this every so often since there are always new songs I’m loving at the moment. Here are five songs I’m loving right now.
Marilyn Manson – “We Know Where You Fucking Live” (Rock)
Taylor Swift – “Ready For It” (Pop)
Jana Kramer – “I’ve Done Love” (Country)
Omnimar – “Out Of My Life” (Industrial)
Hollywood Undead – “California Dreaming” (Rap Rock)
