Time for another recently watched post. I’m going to try to do one of these after every three to four movies I’ve watched. I might include shows as well, as I have some I’m currently watching. I want to get to the end of them though before giving my thoughts. I’ve watched a few more movies recently, so here are my thoughts on those. You can see my thoughts on other movies in my last Recently Watched on Netflix post.

I got an email the other day saying that Netflix is getting rid of reviews due to “declining usage”. That sounds like a poor excuse, but of course usage will decline when they don’t even include the reviews on any of their apps. I personally think that’s stupid because I personally like seeing others’ thoughts on a movie. Sure, there are other sites you can go to for that, but it’s more convenient when it’s right there on the site you’re planning to watch on.
I liked the idea of Netflix having their own original content, but now it seems like that’s all they are focused on. Most of the content they’re putting out are things that I’m not even that interested in watching. As far as the other streaming content they’re offering, it’s pretty lackluster. I want to do this “Recently Watched on Netflix” as a continuous series here in my blog where I do mini-reviews of movies I’ve recently watched. However, the selection on Netflix right now is not that great, so I’m not sure how frequent these posts will be. I did watch a few movies recently, so I figured I would post my thoughts on those.

This is probably going to be an interesting post because of the term “childhood”. Movies that come to mind for a lot of people are probably Disney movies, Mary-Kate and Ashley movies, etc. I did watch some Disney movies growing up, but I never really got into them. I loved Mary-Kate and Ashley growing up, but their movies were still never on my all-time favorites list. I had a bit of an interesting childhood, I guess. From the time I was around three years old (the earliest I can remember), I was obsessed with horror movies. My parents never filtered what I watched, so I was able to watch whatever I wanted, even if it wasn’t age appropriate. A few of my favorites actually were age appropriate though, so you’ll see some of those on this list as well.
I want to give a quick shoutout to Hunida for giving me the inspiration for this post. I just love posts like this which give you some insight into a persons life and interests, and they’re just really fun to do. You can see her favorite childhood movies post here.
Without further ado, here are my top ten favorites from my childhood in order of their release dates.

There are now a total of seven films including Chucky, the killer doll. Anyone who knows me should know that Chucky is my favorite horror villain. The first Child’s Play film came out the year I was born, and I so I grew up watching these movies as a kid. I thought it would be fun to give my opinion on each film and rank them in order from most to least favorite.

I was born in the late 80’s, but I’m a straight up 90’s kid. My earliest memories are when I was 3 years old (which I turned in late 1991), so I have plenty of memories from this truly awesome decade. If I had to pick one decade that is my absolutely favorite, it is most definitely the 90’s. Here is a list of some of my favorite things about the 90’s.
