I received my second VoxBox from Influenster this past week. This time I got the Elvive Revive box from L’Oréal Paris. This box only came with one product unlike the last box I received. It’s a free full sized product though, so I certainly can’t complain. Especially since I love hair products. It still amazes me that I’m able to receive products to try for free in exchange for my opinions on them.
With this Elvive VoxBox, you could actually receive one of three different hair products from L’Oréal’s Elvive line. This line of products is aimed at repairing hair damage. You could either get the Damage-Erasing Balm, Extraordinary Oil Treatment, or the Color Vibrancy Repair and Protect Balm. You didn’t get to pick which one you wanted. Influenster does that themselves based on your responses to their survey that you have to respond to before you can be in the running.

Last year for Christmas, my mom bought me a wax burner that I had asked for. Ever since then, I’ve been obsessed with burning wax melts. I burn them every day, for hours at a time. I actually think that smelling the delightful scents helps to put me in a relaxing mood. I actually prefer them to candles because there’s no flame, you don’t have to trim a wick, and I personally think the smell is stronger than just burning a candle. One of my favorite shops that I buy all my wax melts from is HouseWarmingWaxMelts on Etsy. They’re very affordable, and she decorates each set, which just makes it more fun. You can tell she puts her heart into what she creates.

Ipsy was offering two different bags this month. Both had the same design, but one was a brown and gold color, the other blue. I wanted the brown and gold because it had a sort of vintage look about it that reminded me of the 70’s. Of course they sent me the blue one instead, which I had a feeling they would.
Naked Cosmetics: Loose Powder (in shade Mother Nature #06)
I’m truly in love with the color of this powder. It’s a brown and blue duochrome shade. The brown goes on more translucent and the blue is shimmery. The big problem I have with this is that it’s a loose powder. I probably won’t use this as much as I would like because of how messy it is. When I apply it, I always end up getting it all over my face, even when I’m being careful. I would like this a lot more if it wasn’t for that.

I was browsing around the Ulta website when I stumbled upon this Strawberry & Cream hair and body mist from Delectable. It sounded delightful, and I love things that smell like strawberry. Plus, the packaging is really cute and appealing. This spray was originally priced at $10 for a 4 oz. bottle, but it was on sale for $6. It is a vegan product and contains strawberry extract and aloe vera.
I thought someone was playing a joke on me when I first sprayed this. I usually spray into the air first to get an idea of the smell before I spray on my body. Well, I spritzed some of this into the air and started sniffing. I didn’t smell a thing. So I sprayed some more. Still nothing. I said, “Did someone just fill this bottle with water? What the hell!” I decided to take the whole lid off and see if I could smell anything that way. I could, albeit it was faint.

I received my first VoxBox! I’m really excited about it because for some reason I never thought I would be considered for one. Receiving a box of products completely free seemed almost too good to be true for me.
If you don’t know what a VoxBox is, it’s a box of products that is mailed to you for free in exchange for you sharing on social media as well as filling out a mandatory survey that is sent to you a little while after you get a box. It is a part of the Influenster site and app. You may or may not receive a box each month. They are sent out based on your preferences and snap survey’s that you have to fill out to be considered. If they think you fit the demographic for their current box, they will send you a pre-qualification survey via email asking if you’re open to trying and reviewing certain types of products. Then they notify you again if you’ve been chosen to receive a box.
I’m so happy I was picked to receive this box! I hope I am picked for more as well, but here are some of my thoughts on this one.

As I mentioned in my 13 Things on Etsy You Need If You Love Halloween post, I ordered this Halloween mystery bag from SugarMilkCo and told you I would post my thoughts once I received it. I was absolutely excited to receive this and see what goodies I got. It was also my first time ordering from this little vegan bath and body shop, and if you continue reading, you’ll find it was a bit of a hit and a miss.
