It’s a little hard to see from the photos, but my door is green, hence the title. I closed on my house today, so it’s officially mine now! I titled this post “The Girl Behind the Green Door” as a reference to One Tree Hill, when Brooke was sometimes referred to as “The girl behind the red door”. Of course my house is nowhere near as big or extravagant as the beautiful Colonial style house that Brooke lived in, but it will do. 😉
The closing went extremely smoothly today. It took place at Olde Towne Title, which is a real estate title company in my area, and they truly did an amazing job of making the experience as enjoyable as it possibly could be. Who knew that signing a bunch of paperwork could be fun? I knew ahead of time that there would be some refreshments on the table, but I wasn’t expecting everything we got. We had water, soda’s, candy, muffins, grapes, cheese and crackers, mozzarella sticks, pizza bagel bites, taquitos, mini pigs in a blanket (hot dogs wrapped in a crescent roll), and crab ragoon. Everything tasted so good! You know I love some free food. They even gave me the leftovers to bring home. The muffins were so moist and delicious, and I’m not even a big sweets person.

This is probably going to be an interesting post because of the term “childhood”. Movies that come to mind for a lot of people are probably Disney movies, Mary-Kate and Ashley movies, etc. I did watch some Disney movies growing up, but I never really got into them. I loved Mary-Kate and Ashley growing up, but their movies were still never on my all-time favorites list. I had a bit of an interesting childhood, I guess. From the time I was around three years old (the earliest I can remember), I was obsessed with horror movies. My parents never filtered what I watched, so I was able to watch whatever I wanted, even if it wasn’t age appropriate. A few of my favorites actually were age appropriate though, so you’ll see some of those on this list as well.
I want to give a quick shoutout to Hunida for giving me the inspiration for this post. I just love posts like this which give you some insight into a persons life and interests, and they’re just really fun to do. You can see her favorite childhood movies post here.
Without further ado, here are my top ten favorites from my childhood in order of their release dates.

I want to start by saying that this will be my last Ipsy glam bag post for at least three months. I’ve put my subscription on hold since I am supposed to be moving next month and I need to cut out some things to save money. I may end up canceling it for good, but I just put it on hold in the meantime since I haven’t actually decided what I want to do yet.
This is one of my favorite bag designs I’ve gotten from Ipsy thus far. I love the color of it, and the butterflies are really pretty.

I just finished taking a hot bath, which is one of my favorite things to do, and it’s the inspiration behind this post. It always makes me feel mentally and physically great at the same time, so I figured I would list some reasons why you should take a hot bath.
Sure it can be enjoyable to take a bath in general, but a hot bath is even more euphoric. Especially when it burns when you first get in. For the same reason many people enjoy spicy food, your brain releases endorphins, which is an enjoyable effect. I also really enjoy the feeling I get after I get out of the water as my body temperature gradually returns to normal.

I did a few pretty simple makeup looks this past week, all of which only took me about 5-10 minutes on average. I actually ended up really liking how they turned out, so I thought I would do a quick photo roundup of the looks. I’ve posted them on my instagram, so if you follow me there, you may have already seen them. I used a lot of the same products for these also. Make sure you let me know which one is your favorite in the comments!

If you’ve read my previous post, you know the exciting news about me buying my first home. I’m not moved in yet. Hell, I haven’t even gone to settlement yet. This is all supposed to occur next month. However, I’ve already had a situation with the neighbor, which I’m going to vent and tell you all about.
I had to go to my home today for the inspection. (It went well and there’s no major issues). My mom came with me, and my realtor met us there, along with the inspector. As soon as we pulled up, we see a man coming out of the residence next door and onto my porch trying to look into my house. We both had a WTF reaction. My mom rolls the window down and says, “Can I help you? Are you looking for someone?” He said he saw someone go into the house and knows that nobody lives there, so he was checking it out. My mom mentions how I am buying the house and that it was the inspector who just went inside. That alone made me think this neighbor was intrusive and a little kooky.

I’ve got some big news! It’s part of why I haven’t been as active as usual. I wasn’t even going to write this post tonight because I’m currently sick, yet again. (My second time in two months). I should be in bed resting right now, but I wanted to share my exciting news with you all. If you follow me me on Twitter or Instagram, you may have already seen my posts about this.
