When I posted my latest BH Cosmetics haul post, I mentioned I wanted to do some makeup looks using my new palettes. I haven’t created any looks with the Foil Eyes palette yet, but yesterday I finally got around to creating a look using the Aurora Lights palette. That was my main source for the entire look. I did use the BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless foundation (also featured in my haul post), Beach Rose blush from Pixi by Petra, and mascara from Grande Cosmetics. I used the Aurora Lights palette for both the eyes and lips. Although I did add a clear gloss over top of my lips in the last two photos just to see what it would look like, but I think I liked the look better without the gloss. I used the silver shade in the palette as a highlighter. I just love the bright shimmery colors in this palette. I want to create some more looks soon.

Halloween Makeup Look: Betelgeuse
Time for Halloween look #2! The previous look I did, I primarily used eyeshadows. With this look, I primarily used face paint. The great thing about these face paints is that they wash right off with a little bit of water, so the cleanup was easy.
I’ve been wanting to do a Beetlejuice inspired look from the beginning, but I was hesitant to do one since it seems like so many people are doing them this year for some reason. I don’t really like to be trendy or jump on the bandwagon, I like to just do my own thing. However, since I was planning on doing a look like this for a while, I decided to go ahead with it. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, although it is a bit sloppy in places. My line work isn’t the best, but I have very little experience with this kind of thing, so I guess it’s not too bad for a beginner.
Halloween Makeup Look: Hybrid
It’s officially October! You know what that means? Halloween! Yes, Halloween is all month long, not just one day. To celebrate, I plan to do some different Halloween makeup looks all month long. My goal is to do one a week, but I’m not entirely sure that will work out. If not, I at least I want to do three looks this month.
This is my first one. I figured I would start off with something less creepy and more dreamy. I call this look “Hybrid” because it’s kind of a cross between an alien and a clown. I used an app to change my hair and eye colors just to enhance the look a little bit, and add to its fantasy factor. It’s a little sloppy, but I didn’t have any wigs or colored contacts.
For the makeup, I used a combination of eyeshadow, face paint, highlighter, glitter, and white eyeliner and mascara. Overall, I think this look turned out okay. I really didn’t have a plan or an idea of what I wanted to do. I just started putting color on my face and went from there.
Makeup Look: Galaxy Goth vs. Galaxy Glam
The other night I got bored and was playing around with my NYX Love You So Mochi: Electric Pastels palette, which is one of my favorite shadow palettes. There is some fallout with this palette, but the colors are beautiful and well pigmented, which is why I love it so much. The colors also work very well together and blend nicely.
I did this look at night, so of course I didn’t have the benefit of natural light to truly capture it. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out though. After I do an eye look, sometimes I like to switch up the lips because it can really change the vibe of the look. The first lip color I started out with was NYX Cosmic Metals lip cream in shade Galactic. Then I switched to ColourPop Ultra Matte lip in shade Viper.
Which of these looks do you like the best? Make sure you let me know in the comments!
MOTD Roundup
I did a few pretty simple makeup looks this past week, all of which only took me about 5-10 minutes on average. I actually ended up really liking how they turned out, so I thought I would do a quick photo roundup of the looks. I’ve posted them on my instagram, so if you follow me there, you may have already seen them. I used a lot of the same products for these also. Make sure you let me know which one is your favorite in the comments!
